Interesting stuff. I work in both Java and Javascript and am not surprised that Java use has declined in the past two years.

Coding Horror: The Programmer's Bill of Rights
I am one of the lucky code-monkeys who has all of these rights.
Taking full advantage of them requires a great amount of focus. Some times you eat the bear, some times the bear eats you.
"I propose we adopt a Programmer's Bill of Rights, protecting the rights of programmers by preventing companies from denying them the fundamentals they need to be successful."
